Ashley Stevens

Clark University Director of Athletics and Recreation, Trish Cronin, has officially named Ashley Stevens the second head coach in program history on Monday.

Stevens spent the 2023 campaign as the program's interim head coach and led the program to its most victories in a single season.

"Ashley did a fantastic job in the spring and I could not be more excited to have her become our head coach going forward," said Cronin. "Since her arrival in January, Ashley has created a positive culture within the program and I am looking forward to continuing to see growth within the team as well as within the department."

In Steven's first season at the helm, the Cougars won five games and posted a 4-4 record at home, including NEWMAC wins over Emerson and Mount Holyoke. Offensively, the team saw four players score over 20 points, including Elizabeth Liakos (36) and Kiley Simmons (35) who each tallied north of 30 points. The Cougars were ranked second in the conference in ground balls per game (21.93) and fourth in caused turnovers per contest (9.47).

Prior to Clark, Stevens spent six years as the head coach at King's College and Intramural Director. Stevens has also coached at Green Mountain College (2014-2016) and was an assistant at Randolph College for a season. She graduated from Randolph in 2013 with a degree in Sports and Exercise Studies, while being a four-year starter in both lacrosse and soccer.

Emma Davis

Clark University head women's lacrosse coach Ashley Stevens announced the addition of Emma Davis to her staff as an assistant coach.

"I'm excited to add Emma to our staff and integrate her in the program," said head coach Ashley Stevens. "From being a successful goalie at the collegiate level to coaching at Algonquin for the past five seasons, Emma brings a plethora of knowledge and energy that will help this program grow."

Davis comes to Worcester after spending the past five seasons as the head coach at Algonquin Regional High School. During her time with the Titans, Davis was named Midwach A League Coach of the Year, helped guide the team to become 2023 co-league champions, and coached four All-Americans.

Davis has also spent the past five years as an assistant coach at Worcester State and helped lead the Lancers to three MASCAC Semifinal appearances. Davis currently is coaching at Central Lacrosse.

As a player, Davis is currently the all-time leader in career games won in net (53) and career saves (616) at Regis College. Davis was named NECC Goalkeeper of the Year in 2014 and 2016 and won four NECC Championships during her time with Regis.
