Arianna Kreush

Arianna Kreush completed her second season as head coach of the Manhattanville College women's lacrosse team in 2023.

The 2023 Valiants made program history throughout the course of the season. The team won its first seven games to begin the campaign, setting a new record for the best start in the history of Manhattanville Women's Lacrosse. The hot start also helped the team set a new benchmark for most wins in a year with 12 as the team returned to the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament for a third straight season. Pietra Cabral would go on to become the team's first-ever Rookie of the Year under Kreush, as the freshman attacker would also make the Skyline Second Team with 38 total points. Cabral would be one of five All-Conference selections on the year, with Kerry Carr and Marisa D'Angelo making the First Team while Maura Kelly and Abbey Playle joined the Rookie of the Year on the Second Team.

After being appointed as the 10th head coach in program history in November 2021, Kreush guided the Valiants to a postseason appearance with a 6-9 overall record on the year. Manhattanville went 4-3 in Skyline Conference play, ending the regular season with four-straight wins to nab the No. 4 seed in the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament. Kreush secured her first postseason win in her playoff debut, as the Valiants earned a 16-9 victory in the first round matchup against Saint Joseph's-Long Island and advanced to a conference semifinal round for the first time since 2017. A defensive-oriented squad, Kreush's Valiants led all of NCAA Division III in caused turnovers per game with a mark of 15.33 per contest. Senior Lara Keenan closed out her phenomenal collegiate career by becoming the 12th player in program history to score 100 goals for the Valiants and ended the year with 131 tallies for her career, tied for ninth all-time in program history. Keenan would also claim the program record for career draw controls at 214. Kerry Carr would also eclipse the century goal mark in the year after 31 scores in the season brought her Manhattanville total to 38 and 113 for her collegiate career. Keenan and Kasey Molito represented the Valiants on the Skyline All-Conference First Team, while Kelly earned a Second Team nod.

Kreush makes her way back to Purchase where she spent four seasons as a member of the Valiants women's lacrosse team following this past season as the head coach at Hiram College. While the Terriers 2021 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she had success during her two season tenure with Hiram as assistant coach from 2017 to 2019. While a member of the Terriers' coaching staff, Kreush helped develop a trio of All-North Coast Athletic Conference selections. In 2018, with Kreush on the sideline, the Terriers posted a program-record six wins.

In between her two stints at Hiram, Kreush served as the assistant women's lacrosse coach at Whitman College from 2019 to 2021. In her season with the Blues, Kreush was involved with the development of practice and game plans, recruitment, and scouting, all of which she will bring to the team in Manhattanville.

Kreush has also served as coach for a number of travel lacrosse programs. Earlier this year, she began coaching the Ohio Premier club out of Rocky River, Ohio. From 2019 to 2021, she served as a coach with California's Tenacity Project, while from 2017 to 2019 she worked with numerous teams with True Lacrosse Pittsburgh.

While a member of the Manhattanville women's lacrosse team, Kreush saw action in 19 games where she scored 14 goals and three assists. After missing her freshman season due to injury, she played in 14 contests as a sophomore in 2015, finishing fourth on the team with 11 goals. Despite missing her junior year and most of her senior campaign due to more injuries, she competed in five games in her 2017 season, scoring three goals and an assist. She would be recognized by the MAC Spring Academic Honor Roll twice and the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll in 2017.
