Kristen Stuckel

Kristen Stuckel was hired as Muhlenberg's head coach of lacrosse in the summer of 2000 and has led the Mules to improvement year after year, leading to the program's first Centennial Conference playoff berths in 2008 and 2009 and the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Championship in 2016.

Her overall record of 169-147 in 22 seasons (including a 162-125 mark the last 20) makes her the winningest coach in program history. She is third in CC history with 71 career wins in league games.

Kristen Stuckel year by yearStuckel was named CC coach of the year in 2017 after the Mules tied a school record with 13 wins and crowned their first All-American. The highlight of the season was an 8-7 win against top-ranked eventual national champion Gettysburg that put Muhlenberg into the Division III top 20 for the first time ever.

Stuckel has led the Mules to 13 winning seasons in the last 18 complete years. Prior to her arrival, the program had just one winning campaign in 17 seasons.

Muhlenberg won a school-record eight games in both 2003 and 2005, then topped that with 10 wins in 2006. The 2008 squad won 11 games, including five in the ultra-competitive CC.

The Mules went 10-4 and finished third – behind two national semifinalists – in the CC in 2009.

Stuckel recorded her 100th career when when the Mules defeated FDU-Florham, 18-9, in 2014.

After making the CC playoffs in 2014 and 2015, Muhlenberg set a school record with 13 wins and won its first-ever championship, capturing the ECAC Mid-Atlantic title at home.

During Stuckel's tenure, the Mules have recorded the first shutout in team history and set school records for goals and assists in a season and assists in a game. The program's all-time leaders in almost every statistical category have played for Stuckel, and Muhlenberg received votes in the national Division III poll in 2009, 2014 and 2016.

The 2015 team reached another program milestone by hosting a playoff game for the first time.

Stuckel also coached field hockey at Muhlenberg from 2000 to 2003, leading the Mules to a 43-30 record and a No. 7 national ranking in 2003.

A 1995 graduate of Gettysburg College, Stuckel spent three years as a graduate assistant in both sports at her alma mater. Gettysburg won or shared the Centennial Conference field hockey championships all three seasons and captured its first CC lacrosse title in 2000. During the 1999-2000 school year, the Bullets were ranked in the top 10 in Division III in both sports.

Stuckel lettered seven times as an undergraduate field hockey and lacrosse player. She was a first-team all-conference midfielder in field hockey and a second-team All-Central Region defensive player in lacrosse.
