Destinee Johnson was hired as the first Head Women's Lacrosse Coach at Webber International University during the month of December, 2019.


Coach Johnson joined the Warriors from the University of Dallas, an NCAA Division-III program in Irving, Texas.


As the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at UD, a position she held for three seasons starting in October of 2016, Johnson coached two First-Team All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) selections, and had two players named Honorable Mention All-SCAC, the first such achievement for any UD women’s lacrosse player. Johnson had one player named SCAC All-Sportsmanship, had the first three players named SCAC Player of the Week in program history, and had seven All-Independent Women’s Lacrosse School (IWLS) players. She also coached one senior who broke the program’s single-season record in assists, coached a team that broke four other program records, and coached a senior who achieved her 100th career goal and now ranks second- all-time at UD in both points and goals


In addition to her head coaching position at the University of Dallas, Johnson also served as an Assistant Lacrosse Coach the Pro Lacrosse Camp (Dallas, TX) beginning in June 2017.


Before her time in Texas and first head coaching position, Coach Johnson worked as an Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (Huntsville, AL) from May 2015-October 2016. At Huntsville, Johnson recruited and coached three All-Gulf Shore Conference (GSC) players and the GSC Rookie of the Year while the team finished the 2016 season with a 14-4 overall record and was a GSC conference finalist.


Lastly, Johnson has also experience coaching club lacrosse as an assistant coach with the Rockwall Girls Lacrosse Club (Rockwall, TX) during her tint in Texas and with the BLU Lacrosse Club (Huntsville, AL) during her time in Alabama.


As a collegiate student-athlete, Johnson attended Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia, where she was a team captain, finished ranked second all-time in program history in ground balls, was named to the Conference Carolinas (CC All-Academic Team, and was a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) representative.


Johnson, native of Atlanta, Georgia, is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in leadership from the University of Dallas after she earned her Bachelors’ degree in sports management from Emmanuel College in May 2015.
