Becca Joseph

Wittenberg University Vice President and Director of Athletics and Recreation Brian Agler welcomed Becca Joseph as the women's lacrosse head coach prior to the 2022 season. Joseph, a 2017 Wittenberg alumna, broke the school record for points and assists in a career during her collegiate career. A three-time All-North Coast Athletic Conference standout, she also served as team captain during the 2017 season.

Joseph most recently served as assistant of the Ohio Northern University women's program where she helped lead the team to the first conference tournament appearance in school history. Joseph served a vital role in the organization with recruitment visits and tournaments, along with team travel.

"We are extremely excited about Becca leading our Women's lacrosse program into the future," said Agler, "She was an all-time great player here. She knows Wittenberg and will do a great job recruiting and building back our program."

At Wittenberg, Joseph double majored in Sport Management and Business, concentrating in Finance. She later went on to receive a Master of Science in Sport Management from The Ohio State University. During her time at Wittenberg, Joseph spent her off-seasons engulfing herself in Greek life and working as the football manager for the Tigers.

"I am very excited about the opportunity to return to Wittenberg. Many thanks to Brian Agler and the search committee for allowing me to be a part of the rebuilding of this program," said Joseph, "I am looking forward to re-establishing a culture of excellence academically and athletically. I have nothing but fond memories from my years at Witt and am ready to ensure that my student-athletes have that same experience. Tiger up!"

Joseph had her first coaching experience with Earlham College as the Assistant Coach for Women's Lacrosse. She held this position for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. Joseph was in charge of the administrative duties, organizing team travel, gameday preparation, team meals, and recruiting opportunities. She worked closely with the head coach to develop practice plans and recruiting strategies.

During her time at Earlham, Joseph was also the team coach for Indy United, a club organization in Indianapolis, Indiana. Joseph prepared the class of 2020 for recruiting tournaments and showcases while coaching them for summer tournament play.

Soccer in College gave me a good point of reference for perspective coaches, somewhere I could direct them to see all of my data, in a well-organized, efficient manner. It was a good tool for my recruiting efforts.
